Discoveries Educare believes in providing an environment where tamariki, staff and whanau are respected and gain a sense of belonging.
We aim to provide a place where all individuals are valued with our main focus on building social competence for all tamariki in readiness for their future.
My daughter is almost 5 and has been with Discoveries since she was 6 months old. As a mum it is so important for me to feel at ease when I have to leave her to go to work. She has learnt so much and I am so thankful to all of the wonderful staff who have made her journey so special.

We believe that all tamariki should be empowered in their own identity. All ethnic groups will be celebrated, all children with disabilities, specific health needs or diverse family types will be included and valued. Discoveries supports Te Whāriki & Tātaiako with a focus in empowering our Maori tamariki. Bi-culturalism will be evident and all religions respected.
Our tamariki learn best and retain the most information when utilising their senses during play. We encourage all children to be the leaders in their own journey. Our teachers will provide optimal learning opportunities to support their interests. Centres are richly resourced to enable discovery and growth of every individual.
We have a team of passionate teaching professionals, dedicated to providing quality care for all children. Kaiako utilise the NZ ECE curriculum as the basis for their observations, planning and evaluations. The ‘Child’s voice’ will be evident in all documentation and include the child’s learning outcomes.
